Logging in when Beyond Identity is unavailable

Prev Next

This article explains workarounds for several scenarios where you may have difficulties logging in to our support portal. The methods for working around this are 'roaming authentication' and 'email access token.'

Scenarios

Scenario

Description

Beyond Identity service interruption

A rare situation in which Beyond Identity services are unavailable or unresponsive, preventing authentication from completing successfully.

Network connectivity issue

The device may be connected to a network that restricts required traffic, such as one using proxies, firewalls, or network filtering that interferes with Beyond Identity authentication.

Passkey or enrollment issue

The passkey may no longer be accessible on any enrolled device, such as after device loss, removal, or before re-enrollment has completed.

Unsupported platform or operating system

Authentication is being attempted from a platform or operating system that is not currently supported by Beyond Identity.

Workaround

If you have the passkey on your mobile device

If you have a mobile device with the Beyond Identity Authenticator that contains the beyondidentity-support passkey, you can use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code displayed during authentication and complete the login.

If you are attempting to authenticate from a network that uses proxies, firewalls, or other restrictions that interfere with Beyond Identity services, you may need to disconnect from that network and use your mobile data connection to authenticate successfully.

If you don’t have access to the passkey please contact your organization’s IT administrator for help.
