Can I convert unmanaged iOS devices to managed without losing the existing passkeys?

If I have unmanaged iOS devices, and I want to manage them with Jamf, will enrolling the device and managing the app maintain the existing passkeys?

Yes. You can convert unmanaged iOS Platform Authenticator apps with existing passkeys to managed apps without impacting existing passkeys on the device.

Caveats of this process

• If unsupervised, users must accept an app management prompt.
• Conversion is not supported on devices enrolled via User Enrollment.
