Uninstalling the Authenticator on macOS

This article provides step-by-step instructions for uninstalling the Beyond Identity Authenticator from a macOS device, including removing application files and user-specific data.

Steps

Follow these steps to remove the Beyond Identity Authenticator from a macOS device.

1. Open the Beyond Identity Authenticator.

2. In the menu bar, right-click the Authenticator icon.

3. Select Quit Beyond Identity Completely.

4. Open the Applications folder:

   • Open Finder.

   • Select Applications from the Favorites sidebar.

5. Right-click Beyond Identity and select Move to Bin.

6. In Applications, open Utilities.

7. Launch Terminal.

8. Run the following command:

   rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.beyondidentity.endpoint.macos
   

9. Close the Terminal application.

Note: If multiple users have used Beyond Identity on the same computer, repeat steps 6–9 for each user account.
