Installing the Authenticator on macOS

This article explains how to download, install, and register the Beyond Identity Authenticator on macOS using your IT-provided enrollment email.

Steps

  1. Your IT department will send a download and registration email. Click the first link in the email to go to the Beyond Identity download page.

  1. Under Desktop and mobile, click macOS.

  2. Click Download.

  3. The Authenticator download starts automatically. You may be prompted to select a save location, depending on your browser.

  4. Double-click the file to begin installation.

  5. If prompted, click Yes to allow the installation.

  6. When installation completes, the Beyond Identity Authenticator opens to the following screen.

  7. Open the email from your administrator and, under Step 2: Register Passkey, click Register New Passkey. The Authenticator updates to a screen similar to the one below.

If you have trouble installing the Authenticator on macOS, contact your organization’s IT administrator.
