JumpCloud - Beyond Identity Deployment Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for deploying Beyond Identity using JumpCloud.

Step 1: Add Beyond Identity Authenticator to JumpCloud

1. Navigate to JumpCloud Private Repo.

2. Click Add Application.

3. Enter the application Name: Beyond Identity Authenticator

4. Upload the latest .msi installer downloaded from: Beyond Identity Downloads.

5. Assign the application to the appropriate Device Groups or Devices.

Step 2: Configure Policy for Optional Version Control

To enforce version control and disable manual updates, create a custom registry key policy:

1. Go to Policy Management.

2. Click Create New Policy and select Advanced: Custom Registry Keys.

3. Configure the policy with the following details:

   • Policy Name: Beyond Identity Version Control - No Manual Updates Allowed

   • Policy Notes: Registry key to enforce version control and prevent manual updates.

4. Add the following registry keys:

   Registry Key 1

   • Location: SOFTWARE\Policies\BeyondIdentity\Authenticator

   • Value Name: DisableUpdates

   • Type: DWORD

   • Data: 1

   Registry Key 2

   • Location: SOFTWARE\Policies\BeyondIdentity\Authenticator

   • Value Name: VERSION_CONTROL_ID

   • Type: SZ

   • Data: INSERT-VERSION-CONTROL-ID-HERE

5. Assign the policy to the relevant Policy Groups, Device Groups, or Devices.

   Note: Applying registry keys may require a system reboot for changes to take effect.
